Beyond The Classroom
If there’s one thing I’m more passionate about than computers, it is creating a lasting, positive social impact! This section includes my activities and initiatives to create that impact. Finally, it also includes a list of my hobbies and personal interests.
Volunteering and Social Engagement
Coming from a country like India, I have first-hand experience of the fact that not every individual has access to equal opportunities and knowledge. One of my core principles has been to create an environment where I can leverage my knowledge and experiences to create more awareness and provide more resources for the underpriveleged.
IEEE Student Branch

The IEEE Student Branch at my college provided me with a platform to reach a wider student community, where I organized workshops on data science, cybersecurity, and computer vision. During the COVID-19 pandemic in India (2020), we raised ₹52,000 ($600) through our workshops to support treatment and vaccinations for patients across Maharashtra.
UNICEF Hochschulgruppe Aachen

Currently, I am a volunteer (Ehrenamtlicher Mitarbeiter) with the UNICEF Hochschulgruppe Aachen. My work includes organizing fundraising events, collaborating with schools to engage with children, and raising awareness about children’s rights. Through this experience, I have gained valuable insights into the German education system and met inspiring individuals dedicated to creating positive change. Being part of this organization has deepened my understanding of the challenges children face globally and strengthened my commitment to advocating for equitable education and opportunities.
Teaching

I have been actively involved in teaching since my freshman year. Initially, I collaborated with my institute’s social welfare club to teach mathematics and English at nearby schools. In addition, I conducted classes on value education, hygiene, and good habits for students in grades 1-6. Later, I extended my efforts to mentoring freshman-year college students in programming and computer science fundamentals, helping bridge the gap for those without early exposure to computers.
Now, after graduating, I continue to contribute by conducting talks on technical interview preparation and undergraduate research. I also serve as an external examiner at my college, reviewing and guiding students’ research work, all with the goal of imparting my knowledge and experience free of cost.
Leadership
Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have taken on multiple leadership roles.
During my third year at university, I was unanimously elected as the Chairperson of the IEEE Student Branch. I led a team of 45 students across various engineering disciplines, curating technical workshops, hackathons, and coding competitions. A key focus during my tenure was fostering mentorship and peer learning. To promote undergraduate research, I founded the IEEE Research Club, where we conducted paper reading sessions, guest lectures, and research presentations. Additionally, I managed the club’s finances, ensuring that funds were effectively allocated for student welfare. Under my leadership, our student branch grew to become the second-largest in the Asia-Pacific region.
At Deutsche Bank, I recently led an infrastructure migration from legacy Kerberos-based authentication to OAuth 2.0 as part of a strategic initiative. Acting as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC), I collaborated with multiple platform teams to design a target authentication architecture for a critical policy management system. I led a team of seven engineers to phase out the legacy authentication system and implement OAuth 2.0 from scratch. Our team was one of the first within our department to successfully complete this migration within 11 months.
